The Challenge

We were tasked to create a concept 'pop up' stall for Japanese whisky brand Suntory Whisky in a high-end retail store. The space needed reflect the brand's identity and heritage, enticing the customer into a 'sleek and uncomplicated' shopping environment with ease of movement and access to the merchandise.

" A space that captures the spirit and simplicity of Japan"

The Result

Our pop-up site needed to be opulent yet understated to showcase this quality product. We wanted the space to really capture the spirit of Japan -  so we modelled our design on classic Japanese Shoji framework. Simplistic and traditional, the structure instantly inspires a sense of Japanese culture and thanks to its design, simultaneously allows the potential customer to view all product ranges from any approaching angle. The warm timber frame work and soft lighting provide the space with a welcoming glow, whilst the back- lit panelling with foliage design creates a sense of tranquillity. Hero products are showcased on plinths inspired by traditional Japanese architecture and spotlights highlight the collection range along the width of the stall.
