The Challenge
The owners of a coffee shop approached us to re-brand their popular venue in the Coventry city centre. A hotspot location situated minutes from the train station, our challenge was to create a relaxing space that would welcome the busy commuter before or after a long working day. The design needed to have a comfortable feel with an industrial edge, accommodate a similar capacity of customers and offer distinct areas to either dine in or relax.

The Result
Brief in mind, we felt it fitting to develop a concept around the word 'retreat' and create a vibrant yet relaxed space that would contrast dramatically with the building's busy built up surroundings. This was achieved through the use of light oak finishes, warm brick and wood panelling complimented by colourful wall art, pops of bright warm orange and cool green tones. Tropical inspired art work create subtle beach vibes whilst corrugated panelling, open shelving units and wall lighting give a nod to the desired industrial 'edge' as requested by our client. Bi-folding doors to the lounge area open up the space further and abundant biophilia evokes a sense of bringing the outdoors in.
