The Challenge
Aspire Smiles approached us with the task of designing an on-trend, 'go-to' dental practice that would entice clients from the greater Coventry/Warwickshire Area.
With an aspiration to be the most prestigious & well - known practice in the local vicinity, our design needed to resonate quality & professionalism with its prospective clients; from initial impression of the interior through to the treatment/service received.
Our client required a full design of the Reception & Waiting Area, Office, Non-Clinical Room & Corridor, as well as finish suggestions for 3 of it's surgeries & a WC facility. The brief was to create something contemporary & minimalist in design, with slatted wood features & mid century furnishings, with an 'innovative twist' that would set the practice apart from its competitors.
" A design that resonates quality & professionalism with its prospective clients."
The Result
Reception & Waiting Area
Our mission here was to visually expand the space & add dimension through key detailing. We needed each area to feel like its own separate zone, yet blend together to make the space appear larger. We achieved this several ways:
To visually 'zone' the space, a plywood feature ceiling was chosen to define the waiting area. A plywood feature wall with back - lit logo creates a distinct area for the reception desk, whilst providing a private workstation in the office behind. To visually elongate the space, we designed a slatted wood wall feature extending from the waiting area to the reception, added glass partitioning to the office and used parquet flooring throughout to help create the illusion of a much larger room.
To achieve the desired contemporary/minimalist look, we focused on using simplistic linear shaping; integrated shelving in the slatted wall feature provides a space to display a table lamp or dental merchandise. An uncomplicated reception desk with under-lit counter top says 'high end' yet compliments the understated tone of the space. The linear - heavy scheme is softened through the organic curves in the furnishings & spherical shaping in the lighting & detail. A colour palette of warm grey, white, deep teal blue & mint green has been used throughout to deliver that sense of cleanliness & calm that customer would wish to feel at a dental practice. For that opulent touch, the scheme is dotted with accessories in brass finishes, and a beautiful glass pendant light sits pride of place above the waiting area.

Non - Clinical Room
This room needed to be a welcoming & relaxing space in which to bring customers pre or post treatment. We opted for a warm beige tone throughout, cabinetry in a beautiful gloss cashmere & soft furnishings in neutral shades. Linear lines in the wall feature detail & vertical subway tiles give a nod to the design elements of the reception / waiting area, along with brass detailing in the lighting & accessories.
